Samsung Patents for Advanced S Pen May Come With The Upcoming Galaxy Note 9
The S Pen of Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a lot of interesting features, including waterproof. According to the patent application of the S Pen at the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), this device also allows users to control their smartphones with the S Pen and the finger at the same time. In the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 setting screen, there are different methods of input.
You can choose to use a combination between finger touch and S-Pen, or one method of S Pen or finger touch. Besides from using your finger to erase some text, you can also apparently perform various other gestures such as multi-touch, a double tap, a long tap, drag, flick, press, pinch-in and out, and a scroll to carry out certain actions. Moreover, users can also create patterns using your fingers, as revealed by the patent document.
In addition, the S Pen Stylus allows you to erase by using the tail end. The patent reveals two variants: the first is similar to Samsung Galaxy Note 8‘s stylus pen, with a button to erase text. The other variant is similar to a model in 2013 with an eraser at the tail end. Furthermore, there are some shortcuts by using hand gestures. For example, drawing a Z will move to the next memo, whereas drawing in a mirror-like fashion brings you back to the previous memo. You can also add or delete an attachment by drawing a clockwise or anti-clockwise circle respectively.
