1. HTC U11 Eyes
So, here’s everything we know about the HTC U11 Eyes. HTC has launched the U11 Eyes in Taiwan and China at a price slightly higher than $600. It sports a 6-inch full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Super LCD3 display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 3 protection (402 ppi). The phone is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM. The phone comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 400GB). The smartphone runs HTC Sense based on Android 8.0 (Oreo).
In the camera department, the U11 Eyes bears a 12MP rear sensor with features like phase detection-autofocus (PDAF), OIS, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-tone dual-LED flash. On the front is a dual camera setup that sports two 5MP sensors, with HDR enhancement, a f/2.2 aperture. It also has an IP67 certification when it comes to water and dust resistance. The biggest highlight of the smartphone is that it sports the biggest battery on an HTC smartphone yet, so, there is a 3930 mAH battery under the hood with Quick Charge 3.0.
2. HTC U11 Life
HTC U11 Life is the next one. The U11 Life comes in two variants, while its US version has HTC Sense on top of Android Nougat, the company also has an Android One model for global markets that runs stock Android Oreo out of the box. Both variants have same hardware specifications, including a 5.2-inch full-HD Super LCD panel and Snapdragon 630 SoC. Also, there’s IP67 waterproofing which adds a premium feature you won’t often find in the mid-range. The handset has a 16MP camera with BSI sensor and f/2.0 aperture on the back, while we have the same 16MP camera sensor available on the front. It has up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage and packs a 2600 mAH battery with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 support. The smartphone comes to the market with a price tag of $400.
3. HTC U11+
The last year’s flagship from the Taiwanese company is next on the list, and that’s HTC U11+. The HTC U11+ sports a 6-inch display with QuadHD+ resolution (1440 x 2880 pixels) putting out close to (537ppi). Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 835 SoC, an octa-core processor clocked at 2.45GHz, just like the HTC U11. There are two variants of the U11+, one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the other has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. HTC has also improved the water- and dust-resistance rating from IP67 on the U11 to IP68 on the U11+. HTC is known for its Sense UI skin and the U11+ runs it on top of Android Oreo. Speaking of optics, the primary camera is a 12MP sensor with a f/1.7 aperture at the back, while the front is 8MP, f/2.0. Otherwise, the battery is Li-Ion 3930 mAH. If you are looking for a flagship smartphone, U11+ is a solid option and the most expensive on the list, and its price is around $900.
4. HTC U Ultra
Next on the list of HTC smartphones is HTC U Ultra. The U Ultra comes with a 5.7 inch Super LCD5 QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels (513 ppi) and is protected by the new Corning 5 Gorilla Glass protection. The phone has one more screen, 2-inch strip that sits at the top right edge of the phone, next to the camera. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon excellent 821 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal memory expandable up to 256GB. The cameras are also interesting – the front is of 16MP and is great for the selfie photos, while the rear of the 12MP come with optical image stabilization (OIS) and can record 4K video. Battery capacity is 3000 mAH (with Quick Charge 3.0) which seems a bit low for a phone this size, but explains the relatively low weight. This HTC model comes at the price of $380.
5. HTC U Play
HTC U play is the last on the list of our HTC smartphones. A smaller “add-on” in the U series, U Play, is designed for a broader audience and is made in the same way as the U Ultra, but has customized features, lower market segment and favourable prices. Spec-wise, it packs a 5.2 inch super LCD capacitive touchscreen, MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755), 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage expandable up to 256GB. Both cameras have at 16MP. Main camera f/2.0, with OIS, phase-detection autofocus, while the front camera comes with wide angle and (HDR). The phone has a battery of 2500 mAH, and support fast charging using the bundled 10W adapter. The HTC U Play is a neat little device with striking looks and smooth all-around performance for which you will pay $230.
