HTC is one of the manufacturers who are at the top of their game, with the release of several great HTC smartphones 2017. In this article we’re going to have a closer look at some of their best phones during the whole year.
1. HTC U11: best HTC smartphones 2017
Let’s start our list with the obvious: the HTC U11. For those who wanted a flagship phone, the HTC U11 should be considered alongside the giants that are Samsung and Apple. It also is just straight up great for music! The U11 really reinvented HTC’s design language, with amazing and bold new glass backing with a range of shimmering colors, for all kinds of fashion tastes. It also has a really clean Sense UI, which helps keep things low key and simple.
It has a 5.5 inch Super LCD5 capacitive touchscreen. This phone also has great specs, with a possibility of getting 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage. It uses a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 processor, and while it currently runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) the people at HTC have already planned an upgrade to Android 8.0 (Oreo). The HTC U11+ was a late release to the game, in December 2017. This beautiful device takes the essential spirit and specs of the HTC U11, and upgrades it in many ways. First, it has a 6 inch, 18:9 display, it boosts the battery to 3,930mAh, and has a flatter, more sleek and technical design. It also has software that is based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, as well as dual sim capabilities. This device also upgrades the selfie camera, making it amazing in low-light for selfies when out and about! It comes in at around $849.
3. HTC U11 Life
The HTC 11 Life is definitely HTC’s mid-level flagship for those who love the design of HTC’s higher-end flagship phones. The design is a mirror of the designs of the HTC U11 and U11+. It also has a stunning range of colors, and has a 5.2 inch Super LCD, with 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution, with a 16:9 aspect ratio. This HTC phone runs thanks to a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 CPU processor chipset, and already comes ready with Android Oreo (version 8.0). The handset has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and good cameras with a 16MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera. All of this also comes at a good mid-range price, at around $399.
4. HTC U Ultra
The HTC U Ultra was released early this year, all the way in February 2017. It comes with an interesting and beautifully thought out design for its display, with a 5.7 inch Super LCD5 with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 or Sapphire Crystal Glass. There is an added screen which adds 2.05 inches of space for notifications and reminders, which is seamlessly integrated with the front facing camera. This device runs on a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of internal storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery. It also has a beautiful set of cameras, with a 12MP main camera which is capable of 360 degrees video recording! It comes in at around $589.
5. HTC U Play
To close off our list, we’ll have a look at the HTC U Play, which was the earliest on our list to be released in 2017, all the way back in January almost a year ago! The HTC U Play comes with a 5.2 inch Super LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a 1080 by 1920 pixels resolution. It also sports a cool Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.1 GHz Cortex-A53) GPU, and runs thanks to 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It also has some pretty sweet cameras, with a 16MP main camera, and a 16MP front facing camera for selfies. This little beast is around $550
