Nokia Android phones: it has all been confirmed
Talking more specifically about the upcoming Nokia phones, Microsoft has pledged to fully and comprehensively cooperate with Global HMD – a Finnish company. They will jointly promote the return of the Nokia brand into the market to bring consumers new experiences and satisfaction. The big oldie of the mobile industry is still expected to keep track with smartphone business. In a meeting with a Vietnamese company, senior staff of Microsoft has announced that Nokia will officially return. It seems that Microsoft would focus on Asia area first, where Nokia is a favorite phone brand.
Mr. James Rutherfoord – CEO of mobile device commodities of Microsoft Asia also stated that some factories and manufacturing technology sold to Foxconn in last May were only meant for producing feature phones. Microsoft is still the owner of Lumia and Nokia smartphone technology under HMD’s technological development. Microsoft and Global HMD has made an agreement so that HMD has a license to exploit Nokia Brand for the next 10 years and HMD confirmed that they are planning to launch some new Nokia devices.
At the same time, he also revealed that, Global HMD will release at least 2 Nokia Android smartphones in quarter 2/2017.
