Nokia Android smartphones to be made in India
According to the company vice president, Nokia Android smartphones will be manufactured in India. He also added that all new Nokia models will be made in Inda and they will be available this June. These models include Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. “By June, these products will be launched globally and India will serve as a key market for us again. Our attempt is to source 100 per cent from the country because of tax benefits,” said Ajey Mehta.
In case you missed any news from MWC 2017, Nokia announced three new phones there: Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and a feature phone Nokia 3310. Nokia 3 is the most entry-level Nokia Android smartphone. The phone features 5″ HD screen, a Mediatek MT6737 1.4GHz quad-core, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The device is mounted with 2 x 8MP f/2.0 cameras on the back and front. On the other hand, Nokia 5 comes with a 5.2″ HD display, a Snapdragon 430 1.4GHz octa-core, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. It also has a 13MP back snapper and an 8MP front shooter.
As for Nokia 6, it was first available exclusively for China market, but now an international version has been confirmed and will launch along the other three. In terms of Nokia 6 specs, it features a 5.5″ FHD screen, a Snapdragon 430 1.4GHz octa-core. The phone comes in two variants: one with 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, the other with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM.
Nokia Android smartphones: Price
Nokia 3 is price at €139 ~ Rs 9800, while Nokia 5 will cost €189 ~ Rs 13400. Nokia 6, the most premium of the three devices will start at €229 ~ Rs 16200. However, these prices are for the Europe market. If Nokia start manufacturing in India, the cost could be lower and so is the price.
