Nokia 9 flagship “4GB RAM version” is coming with SND 835
Nokia is surely on a roll concerning news recently. Now, we have one more Nokia-related news as well: a phone made by HMD – the company handling the Nokia comeback – has appeared on the famous benchmarking site GeekBench. The phone’s name is still unknown; it could be the new Nokia 7, 8, or 9. It only shows that the device model has the label of TA-1004, and GeekBench also confirmed that the phone indeed belongs to Nokia.
According to the site, the chipset of the phone is a new Qualcomm 64-bit SoC with eight cores clocked at 1.9GHz. The site suggests that the central processor of the phone might be the new SND 835. Another hint of this is that the name of the chipset in question is labeled MSM8998, a very commonly used code for the new SND 835. GeekBench also reveals that the supposedly Nokia 9 flagship has 4GB of RAM, and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. In line with what Nokia stated earlier this year, the Android version of the phone should be close to stock Android.
After the partnership with Microsoft ended, Nokia has made a comeback to the smartphone scene first with low-range and mid-range phones first, in the forms of Nokia 3, 5, 6 and the new Nokia 3310. Nokia is still looking to the high-end segments, and reports recently are proof of that. However, firstly, the company wants to stabilize its position first., with the Nokia 6 launching in the summer. Maybe later this year, a new high-end Nokia smartphone is coming, and that may include the Nokia 9 flagship!
